IT SERVICES TECHNICIAN

Location: Oshkosh, WI     Type: Full Time     Min. Experience: Entry Level

We are currently seeking an IT Services Technician. This is a great opportunity for an individual who has a balance of strong technical skills and professional soft skills to properly support our IT clients across Wisconsin and northern Illinois. The ideal candidate will enjoy implementing new technologies and equipment and supporting end users.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up client PCs and install operating systems, peripherals, and software.
• Utilize ticketing system and remote tools to assist customers with IT related issues.
• Create and update technical documentation for computer setups, changes to existing installations, and SOPs.
• Train end users on software and systems, assisting clients with integrating technologies into their organization to advance productivity and efficiency.
• Resolve client issues through remote support, or on site as needed, and document all actions taken.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve a range of hardware, software, and network issues.
• Prioritize and triage incoming tickets by communicating with dispatchers and clients.
• Participate in project planning and implementation.
• Setup and maintain VoIP for customers.

EXPERIENCE:

• An Associate’s degree in Information Technology field.
• 1+ years of experience in a professional IT role.
• Current industry certifications such as A+, Net+, or CCNA (desired but not required).
• A solid technical skillset, including experience with computer hardware and software, basic networking, TCP IP, Active Directory, Windows server, M365 Tenant, VPN, and malware scanning and removal tools.
• Strong listening skills and the ability to interpret clients’ summary of issues.
• Professional communication skills, both written and oral, within multiple levels of an organization.
• The ability to be resourceful and work independently within a team environment.
• The ability to multitask and balance competing priorities.
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, throughout Wisconsin and northern Illinois, during working hours.
