The Printing United Expo 2024 is one of the largest and most comprehensive trade shows in the printing industry, bringing together professionals from around the globe to showcase the latest advancements in printing technology, software, and services. This year’s event featured key vendors like Sharp, known for their innovative multifunction printers and production devices; Kyocera, a leader in reliable, high-performance print solutions; Xerox, a pioneer in digital printing technology; and Fiery, whose cutting-edge digital front-end solutions drive efficiency and color accuracy in production environments. Attendees had the opportunity to explore new products, attend educational sessions, and network with industry leaders.
Here’s a look at what Sharp, Kyocera, Xerox, and Fiery had on display at the expo.
Sharp: Power and Precision in Print
Sharp introduced its BP-1200S at Print United 2024, a powerhouse launched in April. This press delivers speeds of 120 pages per minute (ppm) and features the Fiery® Digital Front End, known for superior color management. One of its standout features is its ability to print in six colors in a single pass, with options including CMYK, gold, silver, bright pink, textured, and clear toners. It’s designed with professionals in mind, offering inline finishing options such as square fold, creasing, 2-edge trimming, and multiple folding options—perfect for both designers and print operators who demand flexibility and precision.
Sharp also displayed its newly launched monochrome digital presses, the BP-1250M (125 ppm) and BP-1360 (136 ppm), which hit the market in May 2024. These models, powered by the Fiery® NX One Print Server, offer ultra-high resolution output at 2,400 x 2,400 dpi, ensuring rich black solids and consistent halftone quality—ideal for high-volume, high-quality monochrome printing.
Another notable model from Sharp was the BP-90C80, a new Pro Series color production device. This system brings edge-to-edge printing to expanded sheet sizes and enhanced resolution, perfect for businesses looking to push the boundaries of color printing.

Kyocera: “Small Footprint, Big Potential”
Kyocera’s booth focused on sustainability and efficiency, starting with the TASKalfa Pro 15000c. This commercial inkjet printer delivers 150 ppm while keeping operating costs low. Designed for high-volume environments, it can handle up to 1,000,000 pages per month, offering customizable options to fit the specific needs of different businesses.
The TASKalfa Pro 55000c was also on display, offering increased productivity and media compatibility. This model is built for precise adjustments and high-quality output, while its compact design includes automatic maintenance features to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
Kyocera also highlighted the FOREARTH inkjet textile printer, a breakthrough in sustainable textile printing. With its “Triple Free” concept—minimal water usage (with water recycling), fabric flexibility (print on cotton, silk, nylon, etc.), and simplified processes (no pre- or post-treatment required)—it opens up new possibilities for the commercial and industrial textile markets.

Xerox: End-to-End Production Ecosystem
Xerox wowed attendees with a full lineup of production solutions. The Xerox® Iridesse® Production Press, a pinnacle of automation and quality, was a centerpiece at their booth. The Iridesse® can produce full-bleed, professionally finished booklets with ease, making it ideal for businesses looking for premium-quality output.
The Xerox® Versant® 280 Production Press took automation to another level, simplifying calibration and ensuring top-tier quality with minimal operator intervention. Its balance of technology, automation, and practicality helps businesses save time and resources.
Also on display was Xerox’s newest entry-level production press, the PrimeLink® C9200. This model offers high-end production capabilities in a compact design, reinforcing Xerox’s focus on delivering scalable solutions for businesses of all sizes. Xerox’s 2024 Pinnacle Award for Technology for the FreeFlow® Vision and Vision Connect Software also reinforced their commitment to innovation and workflow automation.

Fiery: Supercharging Digital Print
Fiery previewed its upcoming release of Fiery JobFlow Pro, a cloud-based solution designed to streamline workflows. Features include querying job statuses through home assistants, generating preflight reports using AI, and enabling easy printing by scanning barcodes—ushering in a new era of simplicity and efficiency.
The Fiery Impress DFE, created for end-to-end packaging workflows, was another highlight. This powerful solution offers unmatched flexibility and performance for packaging and industrial print jobs.
Fiery also demonstrated its Digital Factory RIP software, which collaborates with Direct to Film (DTF) printer partners to supercharge DTF and specialty printing, making it easier to manage workflows and increase profitability across sublimation, toner transfer, and wide-format print.
Lastly, Fiery’s FS600 Pro and Fiery XF 8 software were showcased as state-of-the-art solutions for enhancing automation, color management, and job processing for digital presses.
