Every day, you likely manage countless documents, emails, and scans, in both digital and printed forms. With the increasing awareness of security threats, we understand the importance of protecting ourselves and our businesses. But how often do you consider the security of your printers and multifunction printers (MFPs)?

Xerox has taken many steps to safeguard your printing devices, and partnering with Cisco and Trellix is one of them. This partnership opened the gates to the integration of the highest levels of security, keeping your printers, MFPs, and the data they interact with safe from security threats.

How does the Xerox Partnership with Cisco add protection to your print devices?

Together, Xerox and Cisco built over 200 profiles for the Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) that automatically detect Xerox ConnectKey-enabled devices and control access based on your business policies.

As an administrator on select Xerox devices with Cisco ISE, you are able to use these features to fit and structure your devices to fit and protect your employees and their data:

  • Monitor the security status of Xerox devices connected to the network.
  • Integrate your Xerox devices into the granular network access controls.
  • Role-based device access and user groups
  • Ability to restrict or prohibit the use of unauthorized network devices.
  • Tracking and receiving alerts on activity to prevent data loss

Making it easier to support efficient workflows and ensuring your always-on network is working for you and your business.

How does the Xerox Partnership with Trellix add protection to your print devices?

Trellix is one of the world’s leading cybersecurity companies and has partnered with Xerox to increase security and keep your devices safe from security threats. Xerox embedded their technology with the market-leading Trellix Data Exchange Layer (DXL) and Cisco® Platform Exchange Grid (pxGrid), which are bundled into a variety of devices, providing insights into access and threats for the ability to address threats in real time.

This partnership allows the following security features:

  • Whitelisting/allow listing: allowing only trusted, predefined applications to run.
  • Alerts and audit logs: alert an admin if an attempt is made to change applications or perform a blocked activity.
  • Easy Management: flexibility and simplicity for managing your print devices. The ability for your admin to adjust settings from their computer, and more.
  • ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO): Xerox is the only printer manufacturer with an extension for Trellix’s ePO, which allows IT admins to unify security management across networks, endpoints, data, and compliance solutions from Trellix and third parties in an easy-to-use drag and drop dashboard.

Decrease your security risk and increase your system availability with protected Xerox devices.

As Xerox states, “Your employees might not be built for 24/7 security management, but Xerox Security Solutions are.”
